It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Rene Rondon on June 24th, 2023. Rene was born on November 10th, 1950, in the Bronx, NY to parents Julia and Vincente Rondon. Rene was kind, gentle, calm, even-tempered, composed, selfless and an easy-going person. Rene was extremely passionate about his family and loved nothing more than spending quality time with his family. Rene always had a smile on his face and a joke on his lips. Rene was the definition of a true husband, father, and grandfather, thriving on the successes of his family. Rene was a loving husband and father. As a husband he was a devoted and very supportive partner to his wife of 40 years and, as a dad, he was an amazing dad and a great teacher. Rene was an avid NY Yankees fan; he enjoyed going to many games over the years with his family. Rene enjoyed life, family and was always there to brighten the lives of others. Rene enjoyed his career at Highbridge Woodycrest Center as a central supply manager until retirement. Rene was proceeded in death by his parents Julia and Vincente Rondon, brother Raymond Rondon, sisters Luz Maria, Eva Rondon, and Elizabeth Rondon. He is survived by his wife, Myrle Etienne Rondon, daughters (Kizee Etienne and Sharina Rondon-Rankel), sons (Sean Rene Rondon and Jovan Korell Rondon), granddaughter Luna Rondon, son- in- law Daniel Rankel, daughter- in- law Yetta Rondon, Sisters (Jenny Rondon, Milagros Rondon, Ubelinda-Collett-Rondon, Carmen Luz Rondon, and Zorida Rondon), Brothers (Vicente Jr. Rondon and Jessie Rondon), mother- in- law Christine Jolly, brother in laws ( Linton Jolly, Lenroy Jolly, Lennox Etienne), sister- in -law ( Christina Jolly, Daisy Rondon, Vernice Etienne), many nieces and nephews, extended family and friends.
