It is with great sadness that the family of Paul N. Legagneux announces his passing. Born on March 14, 1940 in New York City, Paul spent the majority of his life in Putnam Valley, and he passed away on July 4, 2025 in Florida. He was married to his beloved wife Barbara for nearly 38 years, and was predeceased by his first wife, Ann. Paul was the loving father Deborah DeLardi, Christopher Legagneux, and the late Paul, Jr. who passed away in 2011. He was the stepfather of Tom McHugh, and Mary Beth Neils, and was a cherished grandfather. Paul was the beloved “baby brother” of Rose Marie DesGaines, and was predeceased by his siblings Iris, Jeanette, Charlie, and Eugene.

Paul was a bus operator for MabSTOA (NY Transit). He loved music and loved to dance, he was creative and like to work with his hands. He was a good friend, and he enjoyed socializing with people. He will be missed by those who knew him. On August 7, 2025 from 10 a.m. – 11:50, friends and family will gather at Heritage Funeral Home, Morrissey Drive, Putnam Valley to celebrate Paul’s life. Immediately following, a funeral Mass will be offered at the Church of the North American Martyrs on Oscawana Lake Road in Putnam Valley.
