Obituary For Marilyn DeNisco

Marilyn DeNisco, age 86, passed away peacefully on October 15, 2024. Marilyn was born
January 1, 1938 in Bronx, New York to Salvatore Capasso and Marie Gargaro Capasso. She
married the love of her life, Carl J. DeNisco, on November 22,1958.
Marilyn spent much of her life as a homemaker and raising three children, before going back to
work. She spent many years working as a Customer Service Representative at Caldors in
Cortlandt Manor, where she was well known and admired, she then moved on as a school
monitor at the Putnam Valley Elementary School in the Putnam Valley School District.
In her free time she loved to bake (especially Christmas cookies), and was well known for her
sausage bread. She enjoyed home shopping through HSN and QVC, and was an avid collector
of porcelain dolls. Most of all she enjoyed spending time with friends and family. She cherished
her annual trips to Cape May with her three sisters who she loved dearly. Marilyn truly loved the
quality time spent with her four grandchildren who she proudly doted over and spoiled every
chance she could. She will be dearly missed and forever in our hearts.
Marilyn was preceded to heaven by her sister Josephine. She is survived by her husband Carl
and her three children and their spouses, Carl Jr. and AnnMarie DeNisco, Christina and Norbert
Leitmann and Cynthia and Frank Godino; grandchildren, Cassandra DeNisco, Samantha
Godino, Garrett Leitmann and Frank Godino Jr., sisters Joyce Saponara, Arlene Carlone and
Denise Martin plus many nieces and nephews. All of whom she loved and touched deeply.
Please join us celebrating her life Tuesday, October 22, 2024, at 11:00 a.m. at the Church of the
North American Martyrs in Putnam Valley.
In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital at
St. Jude for Marilyn DeNisco.

I lost my mother as a young child of 13. My Uncle Carl and Aunt Marilyn were always there if I needed anything. Marilyn always had a kind word, always asked how school was going. She never had a bad word for anyone. She sure loved my Uncle Carl. I remember he used to call her Madelena my Woman. May her soul rest in Gods peace.
