Obituary For Joseph Piechocniski

Joseph Piechocniski aka “Joe Pie”, 73, Putnam Valley, NY sadly left us on 2/1/2024 following a stroke. He was a Life member with the Putnam Valley Volunteer Fire Department. He dedicated 40 years to the PVVFD where he was a Captain and President.
Joe was a Life member with the Putnam Valley Volunteer Ambulance Corps where he dedicated 40+ years. He was President and was on the Board of Directors. Joe was a member of the Putnam County Volunteer Firefighters Association where he served aa President. He was a member of the Putnam Valley Parks and Recreation Commission. Joe was a member of the Lake Peekskill Civic Association, as well as many other committees and organizations. Joe worked at the polling places for elections, and he supported many Veteran’s organizations. Joe was very social, and enjoyed good food and time with his friends and family.

In 1973 he was a railroad clerk who was then promoted to train conductor for the MTA stationed out of the Bronx, and he dedicated 30 years of service to his job.

Joe is survived by his beloved daughter and son-in-law, Michele and William Munoz, his cherished grandchildren Mirabel, Antonio, and Cataleya, and by his brothers Billy and Lenny Piechocniski He was predeceased by his wife Patricia, his parents Joseph and Rose, and his brother Peter Piechocniski

Visiting hours are from 2-4 and 6-8 on Sunday, February 4, 2024 at Heritage Funeral Home, Morrissey Drive, Putnam Valley. The Funeral Service will be on Monday at 11 a.m. at the funeral home, followed by interment at Hillside cemetery.
A celebration of Joe’s life will follow at the Putnam Valley Fire House. In lieu of flowers, the family asks that a donation be made in his name to the FASNY fireman’s home in Hudson NY to help disabled firemen have a safe place to go to and continue their life as much as they can, or even adopt a member so that no one has to live a life alone!
