John Ruksenas passed away peacefully on August 3, 2024 after a long illness. He was 70 years old. He was born in the Bronx on May 7, 1954 to Anthony and Gerda Ruksenas. He is survived by his wife Judy of 49 years, daughter Brenda Ruksenas, son Jesse Ruksenas and Diane Gaudette, grandchildren Haley Gaudette and Tiffany Decota. Also, 2 brothers – Dale Ruksenas and Rich Ruksenas
John worked at Motion Labs in Cortlandt Manor as a Mechanical Engineer for 13 years. He enjoyed his work family. His true passion was wood working and built kayaks, canoes and a 24’ sea skiff fishing boat. He was very creative and always thought out of the box. He enjoyed sharing his knowledge with those who were interested. John loved the outdoors and wild life as well as his cats and dogs. He would teach us how to live off the land and to respect it.
John was a wonderful husband, father and grandfather and will be very much missed.

Memorial visitation for John Ruksenas of Putnam Valley will be on Friday, August 9, 2024 from 4-6 pm at Heritage Funeral Home, Morrissey Drive, Putnam Valley.
