Obituary For Jessie Lewis

It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Jessica Lewis a beloved daughter, sister, aunt, and friend. Jessie’s remarkable spirit and unwavering kindness touched the lives of all who had the privilege to know her.

Born on March 4th, Jessie carried with her an infectious smile and a positive attitude that lit up every room she entered. She possessed an incredible resilience, overcoming countless obstacles with grace and determination. Jessie’s unwavering commitment to spreading joy and love left an indelible mark on the hearts and minds of all who crossed her path.

Jessie’s ability to understand and meet the needs of others was truly magical. She possessed an innate sense of what each person required, offering support, empathy, and compassion exactly when it was most needed. Her legacy serves as a testament to the power of unconditional love, as she lived her life embodying these principles.

In addition to her cherished memories, Jessie’s loving presence will be deeply missed by her mother, Mella; her brother, Lee; sister-in-law, Cory; nephew, Trevor; niece, Cassidy; as well as numerous aunts, uncles, and cousins. Her impact extended beyond her immediate family, inspiring countless others to embrace caring and kindness in their own lives.

The loss of Jessie is mourned not only by her family but by a wide community of individuals who were profoundly touched by her genuine warmth. Despite our sorrow, we find solace in the knowledge that her memory will continue to inspire and guide us as we strive to live life with the same level of love and compassion that she embodied.

The family will receive friends on Wednesday from 4-8 pm at the Heritage Funeral Home, Morrissey Drive, Putnam Valley. A Mass of Christian Burial will be offered on Thursday at 11 a.m. at St Columbanus Church, Oregon Road, Cortlandt Manor.

In this time of grief, may we find comfort in the memories we shared with Jessie and find solace in knowing that her legacy of love will forever endure in our hearts.

“Those we love don’t go away; they walk beside us everyday.”

To Jessie’s loving family, I am so sorry for your terrible loss. I knew Jessie for 12 years at Nor-West, and her smile, feistiness and caring spirit were so endearing. She took bowling very seriously and was a great team player. I got the message too late to attend the service. I wanted to be there to pay my respects. I will always remember her. May her memory be a blessing and bring you comfort. She was much loved. Sharon Gelfand, Recreation Aide
