Edwin H. Sabrsula passed away on Thursday, August 21, 2025. He was 92. Edwin is survived by his beloved wife Louise to whom he was married for 69 years. He is also survived by his son Kenneth and his wife Debra, and by his daughter-in-law Ann-Marie. He was predeceased by his son Donald in 2003. Edwin is also survived by his grandchildren, Natalie Sabrsula, Katherine Marin and her husband Carlos, and Daniel Sabrsula. He is survived by his nieces and nephews, but was predeceased by each of his brothers and sisters.

Edwin was an active and valued part of St. Luke’s Lutheran Church in Putnam Valley. He enjoyed woodworking, gardening, hunting, making homemade jerky, and was a skilled dominoes player and scorekeeper. He was a wise and gentle presence, and he will be deeply missed by those who knew him.

Visiting hours are on Monday, August 25, 2025, from 2-4 and 6-8 p.m. at Heritage Funeral Home, Morrissey Drive, Putnam Valley. The Funeral Service will be on Tuesday, August 26th at 11 a.m. at St. Luke’s Lutheran Church on Oscawana Lake Road in Putnam Valley. In lieu of flowers, the family requests memorial donations to St. Luke’s or to the charity of your choice.
