Condolences

  • 06/11/2024

So sorry to hear of Darlene’s passing. Not sure if she knew she was the inspiration for me to become an EMT and then for me to go on and earn my RN degree and work in the PVCSD as a School Nurse Assistant and eventually, the Middle School Nurse. She was so patient and understanding with me as I attempted to ‘learn the ropes’ of all that was involved to be a good nurse and student advocate. Please share my sincere condolences to the entire extended Ekholm family. I pray they may find peace in knowing what a kind, caring, selfless person she was in helping all that were in need of her services. I must apologize for not being there to celebrate her life with you all, but unfortunately, we are away in DE. We will be making a donation to the PV Ambulance Corp in Darlene’s memory. With love and a wish for peace, Barbara and Jerry Layefsky
