Obituary For Allen P Coppola

Allen Patrick Coppola died June 13, 2025, in Pompano Beach, Florida, just 11 days before his 68th birthday. Allen grew up In Putnam Valley and graduated from John F. Kennedy (now known as Kennedy Catholic) High School in 1975.

Allen began and ended his career as an auto body repair technician. In between he was a much-beloved bartender in prominent New York City venues, and at Pompano Racetrack in Florida. It is a fitting testament, that his most recent manager, who spent all of his career in auto body, remarked that Allen was unparalleled in the care, precision, and skill he brought to his work.

Allen forged his own unique path through life. A free spirit, Allen was highly creative, a fundamentally kind and generous person, and someone who could make his siblings laugh heartily from the time they were children together, until the last time they were in his company.

Allen was a beloved son, brother, uncle, and friend. Allen is survived by his siblings: John and his wife Gabrielle, Raymond, Jane and her husband Greg Downing, and Agnes. He is also survived by his nieces Monica, Christina, Candace, and Courtney; and nephew Justin; their spouses and children; and by his cousins Jeanne, Michael, and Robert; and their families. Allen was predeceased by his parents John and Margaret Coppola, by his sister Mary, and his brother-in-law Ronald Powe.
Allen will be missed by all who know his warm heart, kindness, and loyalty.

Visiting hours will be from 5-8 p.m. on Friday, June 20th at Heritage Funeral Home, Morrissey Drive, Putnam Valley. A Mass of Christian Burial will be offered by a dear family friend, Fr. James Atkins, at 11:30 a.m. on Saturday at the Church of the North American Martyrs in Putnam Valley, and interment will follow at Assumption Cemetery.
